Meet your singing teacher

I’m a passionate singing teacher with a degree in Music from Bournemouth University and vocal coaching accreditation from AOTOS (Association of Teachers of Singing). My background is rooted in contemporary music, and I draw from my own experience as a performer to provide special expertise in Blues, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Folk and Musical Theatre genres. My lessons take a holistic approach and comprise elements of music theory, posture and vocal health, alongside vocal exercises and repertoire study, in order to create a deeper understanding of how the voice works. I welcome students of all ages and abilities, and my teaching focuses on building confidence, gaining control, and having fun!

Areas of special focus

I love to work with voices from any age, and I have a particular interest in the changing voice during adolescence. Hormonal changes can have a profound effect on the voice, and our confidence to use it, so I use my knowledge in this area to help students gain a better understanding of their voice during this time.

I am committed to my own continuous personal development and I dedicate time to staying up to date with new research and training. I am a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS) and an active participant in the AOTOS mentoring scheme, which allows me to regularly enhance my skills and knowledge. I have received training in Safeguarding & Child Protection (February 2023) and I hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
